Club champs is often the starting block for inexperianced  swimmers to swim competitively under ASA rules.  Swimmers are encouraged to enter club champs to identify personal best times for each stroke over different distances, and also to ensure they are able to swim each stroke in line with ASA regulations and not be disqualified.  This is an excellent testing ground for the young inexperienced swimmer. These usually take place in July each Year where medals are given to the Top 3 placed swimmers in each Age Band, currently 9& under, 10-11 yrs old, 12-13 yrs old, 14-15 yrs old, 16+ yrs old.

We hold a Club Presentation Evening at the end of each year to celebrate our swimmers/Coaches achievements where all the Trophies, medals and certificates won during Club Champs are presented to each swimmer.

Cat Holmes

I have been swimming competitively since the age of 8, reaching County and Regional Finals for breaststroke as a teenager and still compete regularly now. I started getting involved on poolside at the age of 14 and at 16 achieved my Level 1 Teaching Qualification. I continued to train and help on poolside throughout my university years - where I also achieved a degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

I am the coach for B Squad, planning and leading all of their training sessions, including land training whilst monitoring their progress in both training and competition.  My qualifications include a Level 2 in Coaching and Teaching, my goal is to complete my Level 3 Coaching Qualification in the next few years.
