Junior Competitive Squad

Our top junior swimmers, currently at County level and aiming for Regional Championships. Swimmers in this squad will be competing in open meets regularly and often selected for team galas throughout the year. Training will include morning and evening sessions with regular attendance expected. Training at Watford Woodside Leisure Centre, Rickmansworth School and Watford Central Leisure Centre.  Coached by Jack Jackson.

Early Morning Sessions (total amount available, need to swim x1 per week)

Monday 06.15-07.30, 1.25hr @ Woodside Swim Session

Tuesday 06.15-07.30, 1.25hr @ Rickmansworth Swim Session

Wednesday 06.15-07.30, 1.25hr @ Woodside Swim Session

Friday 06.15-07.30, 1.25hr @ Rickmansworth Swim Session

Core Training

Tuesday 19.00-21.00, 2hr @ Rickmansworth Swim Session

Thursday 19.00-21.00, 2hr @ Watford Central Swim Session

Friday 19.00-21.00, 2hr @ Rickmansworth Swim Session

Sunday 16.00-18.00, 2hr @ Woodside Swim Session

Expectations

• To attend at least 1 morning swim session per week.  
• Min of 60% attendance ( including 1 morning a week)

Cost

• £77 per month

Criteria

• • 12-14yrs
  • Min of 4 county consideration times
  • Min of 60% attendance ( including 1 morning a week)
  • Must compete in a min of 2 open meets per 16 week cycle.
  • Able to complete 2.5km per hour
  • Hold sub 3.10 for 6x200fc test set
  • Enter all club champs events
  • Coach discretion ( 6months only) 

Selection

• Head coach recommendation  (new swimmer to the club- 6 months to get up to standard)
