Watford Swimming Club in Hertfordshire is looking for a Manager to run their School of Swimming.
Watford Swimming Club is a growing club with over 170 members, plus a 430 strong School of Swim, and its performance continues to strengthen. This role is responsible for managing the administration and teaching lessons for our very successful swimming school based out of Rickmansworth School, operating six days per week, including weekends during term time.
This is a part-time permanent position and the role includes supervision of the swimming teachers poolside sixteen hours per week, as well as the administration associated with running a swim school.
You Will Be Required To:
⦁ Knowledge and understanding of the Swim England Learn to Swim program, stages 1-10 and the swimmer pathways associated with this program.
⦁ Manage, develop and monitor the implementation and administration for the Learn to Swim programme in order to meet the expected standards
⦁ Plan, deliver and review our swim classes to ensure they are in line with the Swim England learn to Swim pathway
⦁ Assessing swimmers to ensure they have the skills to progress to the next stage.
⦁ Focusing on class occupancy.
⦁ Deal with registrations, enquiries and communication with parents.
⦁ Supervise, mentor and develop all swimming teacher / poolside helpers.
⦁ * Co-ordinate and implement staff training and induction sessions..
⦁ Co-ordinating staff rotas.
⦁ Managing advertising and marketing initiatives to attract new swimmers, ensuring health and safety is followed at all times, including maintaining risk assessments.
⦁ Ensuring all qualifications and certifications are in place and up to date.
⦁ Working with Watford Swim Club committee to manage costs and price setting.
⦁ Working with Rickmansworth School to ensure excellent communication and partnership.
⦁ Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with our Safeguarding policy.
* Adhere to the Equality and Diversity Policy, Health and Safety procedures, operating procedures, customer service standards and uniform policy at all times.
* Maintain own mandatory qualifications, licensing and CPD/ training requirements
* Teach lessons when required to avoid cancellations

Watford Swimming Club in Hertfordshire is looking for a new Junior Competitive Squad Coach to plan and deliver a high standard of coaching in line with the Head Coach’s vision. We are looking for a coach who can motivate and inspire competitive swimmers. There is an emphasis on skills, technique and delivery of progressive sessions.
The squad includes County and Regional swimmers aged between 12 and 14 and training sessions take place across three pools in Watford and Rickmansworth.
Watford Swimming Club is a growing club with over 170 members, plus a 400 strong School of Swim, and its performance continues to strengthen. In 2017 we increased our number of county, regional and national swimmers, competed in the Premier Division of Arena League and Division 1 of the County Leagues. We are a Swim 21 accredited club.
We are now looking for a coach to join our coaching team under the leadership of our Head Coach, Kelvin Jones, to ensure all of our swimmers are given a chance to reach their full potential.
This role is permanent part time and includes eight hours coaching per week, plus attendance at galas, open meets and swim camps.

Please note that I have accepted all entries for the 400 free meaning we have six heats of boys and girls , in order to make the warm up more effective for session 1, I have created a separate warm up for those swimming the 400 free, this will be a mixed 15 minute warm up. For swimmers racing in events 3 to 6 there will be a separate warm up after the 400m free has finished . Please Click Here to see the confirmed warm up times .

Hertfordshire ASA took part in this year’s National Inter County Team Competition held in Sheffield at the weekend. It is when all of the counties within England come together for a head to head competition, with individual races swum over 100m and team relays. The competition is split into two divisions and Herts competed in division Two. Three of Watford Swimming Club members took part, Harriet Clements, Erin O'Meara and Ben Green. Herts swam well against very tough oposition and maintained a strong position throughout finishing in 7th place.
